Dr Nemh is an intuitive and warm professional with a formal medical and nutrition training

Dr Nemh trained in anatomy and physiology before training in biomedical sciences. She sought to specialise thereafter in mental health. She also has a PhD in nutrition and effect on mental health.

Her main professional interests are in child development psychology, including special needs and the psychology of appearance.

A large portion of Dr Mereille’s practice concerns the treatment of young adults and their educational and psychological health. Most recently, she has become interested in the use of AR-VR in a range of psychological matters. She works well with families and large groups and works in particular with English, French and Arabic patients.

Her practice covers the range of anxiety and depression and encompasses more complex matters routed in personality disorders or developmental issues

Dr Nemh uses the idea of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly as the light motif of the mental health process. For people at their lowest times in their lives, knowing they have a professional guide to show them to their bright future is an important idea

Dr Mereille believes in the potential of every child and young person. She believes that families can help each other if they are constructively and thoughtfully engaged. She believes in deep trusting engagement and in the use of the evidenced psychometric tools. She believes that early intervention in a medical health problem is important. Finding someone that you can trust and share with is important. She tends to use less medication but focuses on talk therapy with the use of supplements to support wellbeing. She has invested in new diagnostic techniques, such as the use of AR-VR headsets in the treatment of phobias. She makes patients comfortable with her warm manner

Dr Nemh has spent 15 years working with patients, collecting data, giving talks and advising schools and local government. She sees mental health as the new frontier and believes in making mental health advice accessable and acceptable to all – to the shy and retiring, to middle-aged men, to children and adolescents – to all. She believes that in no other area of healthcare is there the importance of the connection between professional and patient – this is what mental health is about. It is about helping people who may feel like ugly caterpillars work through their issues and really become vibrant butterflies.

The quality of the therapeutic alliance, the professional intuition informed by an anatomy and physiology and medical background, the quality and interpretation of the psychometric tests and the use of cutting edge tools – all these things matter in helping patients really shine

Dr Nemh also works with a team of other specialists. She is a Trustee of a Special needs charity (www.skylarks.charity) and frequently supports Lebanese organisations with medications
